A large-scale campaign to promote Romania in several cities in Germany has been launched by the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism of Romania (MEAT).
The promotion campaign runs from June 10 to July 15 in Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, and Frankfurt, featuring 625 taxis decorated with turistic informations about Romania
According to representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism, the event is taking place in the context of the European Football Championship.
”Thus, Romania will benefit from significant exposure, not only among tourists in Germany but also among potential tourists from across Europe who are participating in this championship. The decorated taxis offer extensive brand exposure to a broad audience, and the creative design of the decorations can generate a strong visual impact and attract public attention in a distinctive way”, stated officials from the Ministry of Economy of Romania.
The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism also mentioned, „Our presence in the German market simultaneously supports tour operators, interested travel agencies, and airlines that already have significant operations in this country.”
According to the statements provided, each image includes a QR code linking to a general brochure about Romania in the german language.
Through this brochure, visitors can obtain relevant information about various destinations in Romania.
Germany was visited by 218.300 tourists in 2023

The latest data from the National Institute of Statistics show that Germany ranks first in the list of tourist-sending countries in 2023, with approximately 218.300 arrivals in that year.
